Hush, Hush

Hush, Hush

by Becca Fitzpatric

Falling in love has never been so easy...or so deadly...
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life...

I love this book. Becca's writing in it is maybe not ubber technical or fancy but it gets her point across well and in terms that the targeted YA audience can understand and knows well making it easier to connect with the characters and story line. I have quite an over active imagination so when I read I see it like a movie where I am the MC, however this book surprised me it didn't do that for me and i didn't connect with it of the characters as much maybe that was partially because a fair portion of the stuff was stuff that never has happened to me or even come close to happening, and honestly not many people have had those experiences. However I think there was enough of a balance between the everyday stuff that everyone can relate to and the less everyday stuff that it didn't matter the characters' journeys are amazing to be able to fallow and this story is alluring and keeps you wanting more. I don't really know what to say about this book it is just plain beautiful, and yes for those of you that were wondering if this is a dark book it is but it has just enough light to make it perfect. It is 4 out of 5 stars for me. So maybe it wasn't WOW OH MY GOSH! but it was pretty darn amazing.
