About Me

I'm a just a highschooler addicted to reading and all things YA. I multitask with the best of them and seem to only function in chaos. I can always be found, with a good book in hand or writing and bringing my latest idea to life. I am willing to try almost any genre and have been known to dabble in New Adult and Middle Grade. I'm happy to chat with you about books, or answer questions! I love talking to other readers and writers! You can contact me through one of my social media accounts or email me

As you may have guessed from the blog title, I am also a writer! I currently have two projects that I'm working on right now, and I periodically share bits from them, ask for help, opinions, ect. So here is the rundown on my current WIPs.

WIP 1: This one is currently saved under the title "The Island Killer," but that will absolutely not be the final/real name. I guess you'd call it contemporary and it has some romance, but I prefer to think of it as a mystery. It's told by a teenage girl named Kali who has lived on this island all her life, like most of the island's residents. The island's usually quiet and peaceful ways are uprooted when a new family and a killer move in all in the same day, and lives are changed. Kali's life and world are quickly dumped upside down and filled with chaos, and surprisingly a strange peace and happiness that she hasn't felt before, but are these new strangers a danger? She eventually has to ask herself if she believes in coincidences or not, and just how far she'll go for love. While she is content to live life in her little bubble, a killer is loose and looking for lives to destroy, will Kali's be next?

WIP 2: This one's title is also a work in progress, but it is in the running to be a final title, unlike "The Island Killer." Right now, it is going by the name "The Healing Properties of Death" or "The Healing Properties of Loss" I have yet to decide. This one is more of an emotional book written to delve into the feeling of deep emotions and the consequences of actions, as well as the repercussions of death. It's told from the perspective of a 17 year old girl who has yet to receive a name. It follows her journey back to happiness and normal, after loosing a close friend to suicide. It depicts the internal struggles we all have faced and shows how grief and guilt can tear people apart. She learns a lot from a currently nameless boy and his sister, and they help as she begins to find ways to heal and find herself again.
